About this release
Composed by Sammy Fain for the 1953 film Calamity Jane and awarded the Oscar for Best Song, Secret Love has since been recorded by artists from Frank Sinatra to Brad Mehldau. In 1977 Tōru Takemitsu chose it for his ideal Songbook, giving it a transcription of great refinement.
