About this release
Pietro Roffi and Alessandro Stella's arrangement of Gnossienne No. 1 for piano and accordion. The pairing opens naturally toward the oriental sounds that first inspired Satie at the 1889 Exposition Universelle and shaped the entire Gnossiennes cycle — a music of mystery and melancholy.
